Mirror's Edge: Catalyst runs in slow motion. Hello, i have a problem with the game on PC. Quite often the game runs in slow motion for me. Usually i run the game at around 40 fps, but sometimes the game drops to ~20 fps and stays that way, even more, it's not skipping those frames, but actually runs at half speed, running and moving is.

If your posting a solution thx, and now to the point, whenever I play mirrors edge the graphics suck and the game is slow as crap, i know your probley thinking he dosent have the right hardware, well i do cuz i can run fallout 3 and crysis on high, if your having the same problem and solution plzz post here thx for your time specs..

I also had this problem and solved it by deleting some files from the game folder. Took these steps from a steam forum post: Delete or rename the physxcore.dll, and physxdevice.dll from the steam\steamapps\common\mirrors edge\binaries folder. Also delete the physxlocal directory inside that same binaries folder.

Yes, it's the PhysX. When bullets hit things like glass in the game, the advanced physics can make for a more realistic experience, but it doesn't change how the game is played.
